About me: When people ask me where I’m from my stock standard response is: I was born in Manila, I grew up in Australia and now live in the US. My mongrel accent attests to this! I work in management consulting, primarily in program management and technology-enabled change. I studied Information Systems and Meteorology at the University of Melbourne, with a sprinkling of German and Indonesian for fun. In my down time I play my violin and plan holidays to places I’ve never been to before. I’m not the most active person around – when people say “outdoors” I think gorgeous scenery and lounging in a peaceful, serene environment. To each his own, I guess!
What drew me to the Walk: Melissa and I were first colleagues but we quickly became good friends. It’s so easy for me to get caught up in Melissa’s excitement and passion for the Walk, and I know I would love to support her in making it happen. The idea of personal transformation is also wonderfully challenging and I wonder if exposure to the Walk might move me to pick up some healthier, more active habits of my own. I’m thrilled to be able to have a go at it.
